Nickel silver dress pins; reproductions of original historical dress pins. These pins are lighter weight than our standard dress pins and are intended for use as veil pins, sewing pins, and pins for holding other lightweight fabric in place. If you plan to hold on sleeves or plackets, please order our larger pins. This type of spiral headed pin was developed about 1200 and continued to be manufactured, using the same basic technique, through the Victorian Era.

The pin shafts are 1mm in diameter with coiled wire semi-spherical heads that are about 3mm in diameter. The pin length is approximately 1.5 inches (39mm). Each pin is handmade individually so there is some minor variation in form. The set of FOUR pins are shipped on a piece of white card stock.
